About Me
ABOUT ME
I spent most of the past 8 years between New Orleans and San Francisco. I left SF in the fall of 2017 to travel long-term in Mexico and Colombia. Returning to the States in September 2018 I spent time in my native Ohio and traveled the Rust Belt during the winter. Now I'm off to Mt. Desert Island, Maine for the summer and fall!
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy yourself and others around you...and learn learn learn from every person and every experience that you possibly can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My Couchsurfing style tends to be very sociable. As a host, I love getting to know surfers, showing them around, and sharing food/fun. As a surfer, I always go in ready to get to know my host and hang out with them...I couchsurf to meet new people, not for a free place to stay. So that said, I'm always up for a Couchsurfing meetup when I'm on the road!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted quite a few surfers while living in New Orleans from 2011-2014, and I've met up with and shown around countless others. A friend of mine and I used to host couchsurfer meetups every now and again, and I'd definitely like to start that up again!
I've always hosted but I haven't surfed much myself, so looking forward to adding to the list!

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly documentaries and foreign films, but my list of music and books is too extensive to list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Simply having had the chance to travel so much; I've been from NYC to San Francisco and back again by Greyhound bus, camped along the Rio Grande, Kustom car and biker rally in Germany, studying and partying in Spain, skating all over the Netherlands, roadtripping through the Balkans, the list goes on.
Teach, Learn, Share
Love learning/teaching languages. I can speak Spanish pretty well, my Swedish is conversational, and my French is elementary. As a guide, I love showing others just how unique New Orleans is and how people here eat, drink, and live. On the other side of the coin, I've really enjoyed the cooking of the surfers that I've hosted!
