About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore Colombia and make friends along the way.
ABOUT ME
I'm the youngest of 3 children, so I get to do what I want, and what I want is to live an interesting life that embraces change. That I'm an easy going person with a kind heart. I'm sociable when I want to, although I have a quiet side that loves silence. That's the side that loves to do yoga and meditate, although I've become a lot more social in Colombia since everyone is so friendly and outgoing. I love learning new languages, although I only know Spanish besides English. I've just begun taking French classes at the school where I teach English.
Interests
I love traveling, but I prefer staying in one area long enough to have a place to call home. This allows me to form long lasting relationships, learn the language, and truly appreciate the culture. I also appreciate the small things in life, especially eating; I'm a very very slow eater. I love eating slowly, as it allows me to enjoy the food without overeating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that I've done is spend 2 years in Panama in the Peace Corps. During my 1st year, I lived in a community of 100 people without electricity and little transportation. To makes things even more challenging, I barely knew Spanish at the time, so communication ( which was my main responsibility as a Community Economic Development Volunteer) was difficult. Another challenge was getting use to the heat and insects. This time of my life forever changed me for the better. I wouldn't be so comfortable right now living in Colombia; everything seems so much easier after facing a challenge like that.
