My name is Alex, and I live in Israel. I'm studying for a PhD in zoology, so I know all sorts of cool stuff about animals (mostly lizards, because they are awesome and I study them). I think I'm a fairly pleasant person, fun to hang out with, with a good sense of humor, and a vast knowledge of movie and music quotes to pepper a conversation with.

I surfed in Prague, Berlin, and a few spots in Scotland, and had an amazing time.

Interests

I am a student of biology, and so have a fascination with all things animal (I am focused on zoology and ecology). I have an especially warm place in my heart reserved for reptiles, as they do deserve the love. I also recently got quite heavily into birding.
With my love of animals, comes a love of taking pictures of them, and I am an amateur photographer.
I also like traveling, hiking, reading, and watching movies and TV.

Generally though, I love fantasy and historical fiction (particularly set during the Age of Exploration, and really anything naval-related), but I will go for anything that's good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took part in a scientific expedition to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea. It is a breathtaking place, and I have so many remarkable experiences from that expedition!
