About Me
CURRENT MISSION
perpetually smile and flush all worries down the toilet
ABOUT ME
I've been repeatedly bitten, over and over again, by the travel bug--and I want more.
It started as a one year experiment to teach in China. That exciting lifestyle quickly turned into five amazing years spanning 13 countries, whereby I learned Chinese, struggled with Japanese, and inherited an Aussie accent.
I miss the thrill of travelling and love to hear fellow travellers' misadventures.
PHILOSOPHY
Enjoy life by working less.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sorry, my living situation doesn't allow guests. However, I can show tourists my favorite places in New York City, especially restaurants. I FAIL in recommending nightlife.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Started couchsurfing in Japan, where expats took me, showed me around and even treated me to sushi. Also found a CS community in KL, Malaysia and found similar hospitality.
Interests
International travelling will always be my passion. Learning languages (currently moving towards business Chinese), cultures, and food.
Love playing tennis, hiking, chatting over a cup of hot chocolate, and wandering around NYC to find the cheapest Happy Hour.
Trying to get a job in humanitarian organization to help people with far less than I have.

Teach, Learn, Share
As a confused Chinese-American who denied my Chinese side during my teens and early adulthood, only to rediscover it through travelling, I'm still discovering what the future holds.
