About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people and see new places

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and meet new people.
I enjoy art, theatre, dance, and opera.
I go hiking, camping, skiing, kayaking, swimming, SCUBA diving, rollerblading and do anything outdoors whenever I can get away.
I'm only serious when necessary.

I'm a vegetarian,though I get along fine with carnivores.

I like animals.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy and optimistic. Life is too precious and short to be any other way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly host people in Walla Walla with my girlfriend Mara. I am looking forward to my next trip abroad to surf on other peoples couches. I wish I knew couch surfing existed years ago.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some awesome and amazing couch surfers and made excellent new friendships.
I now have a list of really cool people around the world I must visit.

Interests

Theatre, opera, dance, travel, art, and wilderness.
Sustainability and green(er) living.
Meeting new people with good senses of humor.
Vegetarian cooking and recently baking (bread mostly)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't see nearly as many movies as I'd like.
I usually go for well written indies and always enjoy good documentaries.

Sadly not too so much time for pleasure reading lately; I just finished a book called Deep Survival about people dying (or not) in extreme situations. Uplifting! I read many plays.

I like a lot of music, especially if it is new to me, creative, or well performed (instead a lot of post-production). Play something cool for me.

Not in love with R&B, Hip Hop, or American Country music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled through 1200 miles of Alaska one summer.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of the best things that's come out of Couch Surfing thus far is cooking with my guests! Yum. Seriously.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun conversations, good wine, vegetarian cooking, or a meal and drinks out somewhere? You don't have to pick just one!
