ABOUT ME

The history in a (boring) sentence: I went to college, worked for a defense contractor, switched into teaching, switched back to consulting, the whole time in northern virginia, just outside of DC. Now I'm aiming towards California because you've really got to shake things up sometimes!

PHILOSOPHY

My only philosophy is 'live and let live.' I can't even figure out how to make decisions for myself so I'm certainly not going to try to make them for other people. I enjoy all kinds of new experiences and find a positive attitude hard to shake. I'm empathic but never telepathic, though I've tried.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a hard time being a tourist. I feel constantly frustrated when I am in a new place but can't quite find a way to connect with the local scene. Coushsurfing has solved that problem! I'm always in a good mood surrounded by good people and I'm just trying to find some like-minded company. Be the company.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, the last guy whose couch I slept on won the lottery. Now, I'm not saying you'll do the same, but I am saying I'm a wonderful houseguest.
I've now CSurfed all across the US and am now dabbling in international waters. I LOVE the people of CS; generous and fascinating.

Intereses

I'm currently working on the piano. I like cool pictures and books. I love good movies. I eat popcorn and yogurt, but not together. I spend way too much time on the internet and never enough time with my closest friends. I can hike, bike, dive, sail and own a motorcycle. It seems like it would be a good thing to ride a motorcycle across Spain, doesn't it?

Música, películas y libros

I've never been able to start one of these lists because it seems so impossible to ever consider yourself finished. Generically, I like any media (movie, song, book) which can evoke an emotional response. There are as many ways to do that as movies, songs and books that I like.
