Originally from Switzerland, I am currently living in Shanghai to finish my Ph.D. in Chinese literature. Obviously I love reading, writing and spending time just thinking, but also traveling, exercising, cooking, eating and meeting new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met very nice people through Couchsurfing while living in Lausanne, I was introduced to the group by my boyfriend before officially joining the community. I hope to reiterate these nice experiences in Shanghai!

Interests

I like to exercise alone or in a group, but also to spend quiet and cosy afternoons with friends in a nice coffee shop. I also like to go out and have a drink to blow up some steam from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music as well as anything that makes me happy and makes me want to dance. I have a special crush for Santana. It is difficult to choose favorite movies or books but for sure "The Last of the Mohicans" and Camus' "Noces" are in the mix!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After spending a year in China between 2010 and 2011, I had the chance to go to Mongolia with some friends who were from there and who I met in my university. They showed me around this beautiful country and it has been one of the most transforming trips of my life, I will never forget the feeling I had when looking at the stars in the middle of the tundra.

I would love to do some language exchanges, I can trade my French and maybe English for your Chinese or Italian!
