About Me
ABOUT ME
Somehow I ended up in london. It was never planned. But I like it. I live in trendy East London, although I'm too beardless to be a hipster. I work freelance as a project manager in the financial sector (dull), but moonlight as an opera singer (fun).
I love travelling, as most people on this site, obviously, and I have used couchsurfing extensively in places as diverse as the US, Argentina, Brazil and Indonesia. I have often hosted at my flat in London, although I'm afraid I find myself often too busy these days, and I prefer to spend time with my guests, rather than providing a hotel ;-)
In 2015 I'm furthering my mission to become fluent in Italian (as any self respecting opera singer would!), so I expect to do a bit of couchsurfing in Italy as a result. I shall also be travelling through the north west of the States in August, so I'm looking forward to that as well!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm happy to offer a couch. I've got quite a comfortable one. And, if it fits in with my generally busy schedule, I'm also happy to show people around London, especially around the markets and the parks, which IMHO are the best bits. Sod Leicester Square.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have both hosted and been hosted. I mountainbiked through the Rockies, drank in in live music bar in Santa Monica, tried to sleep through blaring country music in Vegas, have had dinnerparty galore in London, ate sushi at the end of the world, was stuck for words in Las Posadas, did karaoke in Jakarta and fell in love in Mendoza. All good.
I like couchsurfing as a lifestyle choice rather than as a moneysaving method :-)
Interests
Music, especially Indie, some dirty pop, and, obviously, opera. Food, all kinds, especially Eastern European cuisine, nicely high in carbohydrates and saturated fats.
