ABOUT ME

Like a challenge. Love a good joke. and there is this saying that I just love: "the girl was so lazy that she'd got up early in the morning to have more time to do nothing".
Fighting my laziness every day :) So far I win.

I first came to the US at the age 19 for 4 months, loved it, went back home, finished another year of school, got back to the US the following summer and stayed for a little longer. Wasn't really planning on staying for good, but 13 years and 4 states later, here I am, Portland OR - my new home. I try to go and visit my family in Russia every year.
First couple of summers I spent on Cape Cod in Mass, then lived in Bonita Springs, Fl for two years and then moved to NYC and stayed there for 2.5. I've called Portland, OR my home for the last 7 years.

I absolutely love mornings! First rays of sun and morning freshness and quietness in the air - gives me goosebumps just to think of that... Love going to bed before midnight and waking up as early as I can.

The past year I've done a lot of soul searching and it is the most exciting trip I've been on yet.

although I am having a hard time settling down, my greatest value is family. Hope to have a small cozy home someday and backyard with raspberries and tomatoes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed the couches on my cross-country drive and met some awesome locals. In the past years I've hosted some crazy travelers in my home, but not as many as I wish I could.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did host my friends before and like having people over.
Surfed 2 couches on my way from East Coast to West Coast. Those two days were the best! I also meet with the couple of people in AZ through CS and they were awesome: I would never have that much fun have I not met them. :)

Interests

I moved to Pacific Northwest because I can't live without outdoors. Love to hike, bike, beach, kayak!
I don't drink at all, don't smoke or do drugs. Don't enjoy the bars or clubs - just not my thing. Although I used to love to dance... So who knows? maybe I'll start again.

I have a renewed interest in yoga and spirituality. I have the best cat as my pet.
I am a proud owner and rider of a sexy motorcycle.

I am a certified Master Recycler in my area which means I know a lot about the waste management in the greater Portland and can help others to find the right place for their discards.

Apparently, I like traveling. I started when I was 19 and can't stop yet.

don't mind a good movie, but haven't had a cable since 2008 and don't miss it! (I used to watch Home&Garden TV :)
Not a music fan, can easily live without it. Listen to anything that is not too stressful.
