ABOUT ME

Me... hhmm, crazy is probably the most common word used to describe me by close friends/family but this is perhaps not always immediately evident but rather becomes more evident to those who get to know me.

I work hard to play harder and I am driven by the dream of what life can be and what can be experienced in this life! I am someone who lives for the next adventure, the next thing/person/experience/sight that can amaze me, scare me, surprise me or just make me happy!

It is this that drives me to travel because I believe that the world is an amazing place full of amazing people and it/they will not come to you - you must go to the world!

More simplistically I love meeting people, I love heading out for drinks(!!), I love keeping active and I love a challenge!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CouchSurfing community while travelling so as yet I have not hosted someone back home but cannot wait to do so once my travels end.

Update: and now I'm home with a house and have loved having my first few CSer's through, its been a great experience and look forward to many more... :)

Update 2: I have now been fortunate enough to host quite a lot of surfers and I am off to travel again and hopefully meet and/or stay with a lot more CSer's!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Having being hosted and done some hosting myself I can honestly say I have loved the CSer's I have met and look forward to meeting many more people and especially 'surfing' my way round the rest of the world!

Interests

Love adventure, meeting people, sharing experiences (over a drink or two never hurts), playing almost any sport, travelling (obviously) and listening all types of music from classic to electronic/house.

Photography has become a big passion of mine over the last couple of years and combines perfectly with my thirst for travel!

Speaking of thirst ohh I LOVE a good wine and am a bit of a foodie... there is nothing better then a great meal with good friends and amazing wine - that is almost perfection!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love biographies, especially about people who have overcome/dealt with tough situations...

Music taste is quite random as previously mentioned but some of the genres I enjoy include: house/electronic, acoustic, blues, chill/lounge, rock (not heavy rock though), classical, reggaeton, pop (RIP MJ), indie, etc!!

Movies: comedy, action, true stories, etc but as funny as it may seem I just cant handle scary movies (and no sci-fi)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Standing at the base of the worlds highest waterfall at sunrise
- Spending NYE on Copacabana beach in Rio with 8 of my best mates, about 20 crazy locals and another 2 million or so people from around the world
- Tomorrowland 2012: what a crazy party!!
- Jumped out of a helicopter at 14,000 feet in Interlaken... easily the most exhilarating thing I have ever done!

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach some photography skills, trying (poorly) to learn spanish and can share some of the craziest travel stories you may ever hear (as a result of my unique ability to get myself into weird/bad situations)!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The best monkey story you will ever hear... this is a fact, every person I have told this story has not believed it until they viewed the pictures but once they did they have never forgotten it! I even have had people msg me after 2yrs asking to see the photos again because they are telling a new people the story!
