ABOUT ME

I was married and we have a son from 22 years. In june he will finish his studies : ITC, Software en system enginering, bachelor.
For a long time, because of illness of my wife, we didn't host couchsurfers.
At 7 january 2019 Martine died from cancer. She was ill for about 8 years and had 60 years !! Now I think it is the moment to restart with couchsurfing after a long time. For me it is also enjoy other people.
We have a very nice house to stay with bedroom and shower. A lot of our visitors say : it's like a hotel ... Normally we can pick you up at the railwaystation in Bruges. Of course you become breakfast at our home. At the other moments, you can eat with us.
Professionaly I was a bookkeeper on a golfcourse. Now I am at home and can show you Bruges.
Because of my healthy I can't visit the whole world. So meeting CS members the whole world has to come to me and I can show you our city Bruges and others, the coast ...
I like meeting people and are very interessed in Berlin like the city,Berlin Wall, Trabant, Treuhand, We have a unique collection, photos, Trabants, Practika cameras, and so on.
In 1974 I grounded in my village a Photoclub.
I take pictures from everything. I like to take pictures from the changes in our village.
I was honour photographer in West Flanders for 5 times.
I have a complete collection about Berlin Wall, DDR ..
for instance an original segment from the Berlin Wall
3200 kg and 3 Trabis : one with money from over 75 countries, an original NVA (armee) Trabant Jeep, onewith signitares from Helmut Kohl, Corbaschow Michael,
Katharina Witt and so on.
I have also cameras from the Stasi.

So I serveral times visited Berlin to take pictures from the changes since the fall of the wall.

In my free time I am also busy with the computer.
As I wrote serveral articles in Super Trabi I made contact with 3 Berliner.

About my caracter they say I am very easy and to good
for this world.I like also a good glas of red wine.

Sorry if my English isn't so good, German is better. But I can understand guests in E, G, F an dutch.
In the beginning I am rather a quiet person, but after
a while I am blewing open.
Now we are preparing an exhibiton about the Berlin Wall for beginning november 2013. Actually there is a photoexhtion in Ieper Delta Lloyd Bank (till the end of August 2012).
In december 2018 I managed that I could place another Berlin Wall in Heuvelland, Kemmelberg where you can visit the Commandobunker from the cold war ...

I startet with CS because I can't visit the whole world. And I like to meet other people and cultures. Above I can show you Bruges and other places. As my wife left us ... now I have more time to spend to couchsurfing friends ...

On 9 November 2019 it is 30 !!!! years fall of the Berlin wall.

See teach, learn and share. Also I can show you the most important places in Bruges. Or the Commandobunker in Heuvelland with a segment of the Berlin wall. Their you can find the Kemmelberg, Rode Berg, Zwarte Berg, Catsberg (Fr) ... We can go for a drink or eat something in Bruges.
We are not so far from the coast. In Nieuwpoort, where my sister lives, there is good shopping with fames marks ...
