About Me

CURRENT SITUATION
Recently moved to the south shore of montreal, just across Champlain bridge. The REM (rapid train transit) won't be operational untill some time in December 2022. A short bus ride from my place (5 minutes) and then a 10 minutes hop on the REM will get you dtown to the gare centrale. Untill then, it's less convenient to go dtown (2 buses, 1 hour). My car needs majo repairs (done early october) and I will be going to lebanon from mid oct to end of october 2022

ABOUT ME

Well I'm a sporty guy with brains. You don'T get a bachelor's degres at the HEC without brains :-)
I speak fluently french and english, with rudimentary knowledge of spanish and japanese.
I have a somewhat sarcastic sense of humour, I love rewriting the world over a cold beer, playing cards and showing my beautiful city to pple from over the world. Used to be an AIESEC member and have been traveling once a year for the past 25 yrs or so.
I love traveling and in october 2017, went to japan for the 3rd time and in 2019 portugal.. I also went to the ocktoberfest and prague (again). Prior, I've been to Croatia, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, France, London, Cuba, Malaysia, Singapour, Spain ... and a host of others.

Now considering my destinations for the years to come (portugal and eastern europe,)

PHILOSOPHY

If it ain't broken don't fix it... but do try to improve it.
There's gotta be a better way.
When traveling I often find that the worst thing that can happen is getting lost... but hey I'm on vacation right ? Actually scratch this, losing your ID and passport is the ABSOLUTE worst !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm showing pple around and give them all the basic infos they need (metro maps, city maps).
I also give suggestions on places to go things to do.

If you come by plane, please advise as to arrival time and flight number. I live about 30 mins by car from the airport and could pick you up if I'm not at work.

Please note that I workout 4 week nights and I train the others. Some week-ends I compete (dragon boat race) . I'd need a few days advance notice to give you an answer. don't be offended if I cant on some week-ends (competing) or If I ask you to stop over in the evening (work and training) . I can guarantee you though that you'll have so much infos and maps that it'll be worth it :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't couchsurfed myself, however, ........
I've received 11 couchsurfers + one french couple . Two of them stayed for a week. 11 out of 11 gave positive feedback, 7 were... women !
Yeah I know, Im perfect ! . So don't be affraid even if you're a lass to stay for a while.
Besides, women are less messy than men and they don't "bring pple over" lol

Interests

Sports baby.. and vacationing, and traveling and... well mostly anything that involves NOT working and "being out there"
J'ai une moto depuis 2 ans alors je tente d'en profiter
Il reçoit rarement de gars... car vous avez tendance a ramener de belles montréalaises avec vous.....

Music, Movies, and Books

Dead Poet's society,
Metallica
So many books that I've read I can barely remember any of them... but D &p; D (dragonlance) and comic books were my favorite as a youngster

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides traveled on the other side of the planet (asia), I was sick enough to jump from a plane at 14 000 feet, and piloted an ultra light plane for an hour (no, not both at the same time. Are you nuts ?!). Did also rafting a few time and swallowed more than my share of water.

Teach, Learn, Share

Too much alcool in my blatter... will get back to this.
