- hitchhiked the Road of Bones
- traveled the entire Silk Road, Northern and Southern route
- traveled "down the Mississippi, down to New Orleans..." — from the source to the mouth
- rode the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok (and back, of course ;) )
