One of my friends once said, "when you're her friend she gives you all her attention and makes you feel like you are the only person in the world". So I like to think that I'm good at being a friend.

I just discovered couchsurfing through a friend and am excited to host and be hosted!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed for the first time in Valencia for 3 nights. Interesting...to say the least. I would definitely do it again!

Interests

I love my friends, meeting new people, having interesting conversation, organic wine, cooking, reading novels, lying on the beach, creating things, decorating, shopping, practicing bikram yoga, dancing, dressing in costume any time of year, and being silly.

I'm also really into natural health and wellness, and believe the food that you put into your body can truly be your medicine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Shows: Dexter, True Blood, Bones, Six Feet Under, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Last Unicorn, Pan's Labyrinth, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I tend to love sci-fi, mind-benders, mysteries, comedies, romantic dramas, and independent films. And anything starring Marilyn Monroe.

Books: Water For Elephants, The Time Traveler's Wife, Middlesex, The Ethical Slut

Music: I like a wide variety including reggae, rock, alternative and techno. Favorite songs: "She's only happy in the sun" by Ben Harper. "Turpentine" by Brandi Carlile. "Hate Me" by Blue October. Bands: The Beatles, The Shins, Pixies, Bob Marley, Patrice, Postal Service.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful and inspiring places I've been so far is Tofo, Mozambique. Traveling a dusty, bumpy one-lane highway, camping 200 feet from the beach, waking up at 5am to go for a swim in the crystal clear, gentle, warm waters, conversing with friendly locals, experiencing their slow, thoughtful way of life...all made for an incredibly journey I'll never forget.
