Hi! I'm Goizane, Spanish, actually from a small village at the Basque Country. Since I left home, when I was 18, I have changed place, career and life quite a few of times. I guess like most people in this CS community, that’s why I love it, I feel home : )

The last place I settled was London. I lived there for 5 years while I was working as an Art Conservator. In January 2019 I decided to leave and start a solo travel. I travelled Asia for 15 months until COVID happened.

When I started the trip I was lodging in hostels and traveling by public transport but soon I crossed path with travelers that showed me new ways and from which I learned a lot. Things got wilder, started hitchhiking, camping, sleeping in temples and it was back then when I got to know about CS…everything was transformed, the experiencial immersion was total.

To be honest, I will never would have been able to imagine all the wonderful things they were waiting for me out there. For the first time in my life reality was better than my imagination. Life exceed any expectation I could have had. I rolled and rolled, not a single day was predictable or a single moment disposable.

I met wonderful, beautiful people everywhere, all along, one after the next one, with no exception. My eyes filled with endless beauty, my heart with endless LOVE. Such generosity I found everywhere, I had mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers all over the world. I did not know the world was such wonderful place.

When Covid situation got worse I flew Spain and I went back to my moms house, it was no easy to stop moving, stay still, back to western society and to an old version of myself that took me time to update. I crave for what I was/felt. The desire of being back at the road wouldn’t allow me to be at peace. So I left again, I went to Argentina, later spent some months around the Balkans and some more working on an artist residency at Gomera Island

Now I am in a new path again. The path of learning to be happy in any situation, moving or still, regardless of whatever happens outside : )

I am moving to Zurich in January for some months as I got a research scholarship on sustainability in art conservation and I am really excited about my new adventure.

Life is change; ) And I am really looking forward to meet you and know about you and enjoy the magical chemistry that CS provide when different universes come together.

BTW don't have social media because I always find more interesting things to do and is really more of an effort than a joy, simple like that

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love meeting people. Connection with other beings is the essence of my life, the water I need to grow!

Due to my circumstances, most of the time I`ve been traveling since I opened my account and when I was still didn't have my own place so I haven't been able to host people as I would like to do. But I try no to hesitate about it, I know the moment will arrive and´ll have the opportunity to give back all the kindness, love and generosity I have received which it's been endless : )

Teach, Learn, Share

I like learning and sharing. So many things I have learnt from others in my life. And I believe , specially, traveling multiples learning at the University of Life.

At the moment I am really engaged learning and practicing Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming. But I never quit the creative and artistic side of me.

I am also into meditation, I've just done my 3rd Vipassana, is always a very meaningful wonderful experience for me : )
I hope to be of value to others : )

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to help in general. I can teach languages as English, Spanish and Italian in an informal manner.

I also very much enjoy cooking and sharing recipes : )

I love animals and getting to know their personalities so I am always keen on taking care of them, walking dogs or whatever is needed.

Due to my Art Background I sometimes make designs and wallpainting for people.

I am an Aikido and yoga student. Always up for practice : )
