About Me

I used to live in Istanbul for 10 years in Turkey; studied Industrial Product Design at Istanbul Technical University. I have worked professionally for 6 years as a design specialist.

I have travelled nearly all Aegean coast of Turkey. I am a kind of motor traveller in my country. Also, I have travelled through other regions of Anatolia. I've met people from all around the world and I learnt from cultures, traditions and real stories of inspiring people. I tend to do anything that I feel. I love meeting new people and sharing about different areas. I am interested in social projects, ecology, history and philosophy. I can share about my volunteering experience for non-profit organizations. It is great to talk about my own projects which I have ignited in my lovely hometown, Pergamon.

I started iniatives with local community about sustainability projects in Pergamon, Turkey. I work through sustainable lifestyle, farming, producing my own food, sharing with people and conducting events and workshops with volunteers. I like living in rural area being in the middle of nature makes me better than crowded cities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that I can learn something from any person. one word, one sentence, one experience. I share my own experiences about travelling, culture and life. If you feel the same and have the same spirit, why don't you hang out with me? I am a friendly, joyful and open-minded guy. I like sharing with people, cooking and collaborating.

I travelled a lot in my volunteering period . I decided to participate in CS more by finding the host and spending good moments with new friends while I'm travelling. I feel grateful for my hosts from all over the world.

Interests

I had been volunteering in the field of ecology for the association in Poland for one year After one year volunteering in Europe, my experience changed my mind to contribute to my society in my hometown. I am volunteering for the Social Good Association and organizing solidarity projects with the volunteers. I have founded Pergamon Permaculture Club for rural studies in our family farm. I host international volunteers, campers, or civic groups in my own area where I live in a wooden house. Supporting local community with experiential learning and workshops through United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
