About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning French! That's why I'm staying in France.

ABOUT ME

Hi all;-)
My name is Esther and I'm a 23 year old student. I'm a very opend-minded, positiv and curious person, who loves helping others and also meeting knew people from all over the world. My heart beats for all kind of music ( I play piano, flute and sing), animals (especially horses) and sports dancing, horse riding,fitness,..). I try to live after my favourite proverb "Life is a Journey not a destination" and so I have an active and easy going lifestyle.

Interests

For the last three years I've been studying at the Teacher Training College in St.Gallen (Switzerland) and I have two more years to go so that one day I'll be a Secondary School Teacher (comparable with High School Level). I am currently working as an Au-Pair in Compiègne - north of Paris- and looking after 4 children, which is great fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before my studies, in 2009, I lived half a year in Canada. In Vancouver, I spent 3 months living in a host-family and going to school. I have been living with two little Chinese girls and we had a fabulous time together. After this language course I spent three months on a Horse Ranch in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. In this very rural area I worked and lived with four other volunteers. In the morning I helped out with general ranch and house work and also looked after three children. In the afternoon I got the chance to improve my horse handling and riding skills. It was an exceptional but sometimes also tough experience that influenced my life strongly.
