About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching adaptive skiing and snowboarding and discovering new interests like rock climbing and ice hockey!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Denver. Since graduating college I have lived in Florida, Alaska, and California. I have been a liftie and snowboard instructor and now I'm an adaptive ski instructor at Winter Park Resort.
I am always interested in trying new foods, sports, hobbies, etc. I love seeking out new music, especially stuff I can dance to. I hope to learn the drums one day and create music of my own.

PHILOSOPHY

Sharing knowledge, experiences, and passions are vital to the human experience. Keeping an open and accepting mind will attract happiness. Dancing is as important as good food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have attended a few Couchsufing meetups and used the website to surf in different cities. I hope to utilize CS more when I settle down with my own couch that I can offer up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Seattle, while moving across country for a job, and in France while WWOOFing. I am so thankful for those who welcomed me as late as 2am after a long day of driving. It is so nice to sleep on a couch in a cozy home as opposed to checking into a bland hotel at night. Nothing beats meeting new people and sharing travel stories over a home cooked meal.

Interests

Books, music, DIY, upcycling, rollerblading, dancing, making music, cooking delicious food, discovering new hangouts, meeting new people and learning about new lifestyles, any outdoor adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies that make me laugh: Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, and Super Troopers. Bands that make me dance: St. Lucia, Miami Horror, Pacific Air, Calvin Harris, Florence and the Machine, Foster the People, Bag Raiders, much more. Books that make me learn: The Power of Habit, The Story of Stuff, and Chasing Alaska.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited Cusco, Peru for a month and was blown away by the Inca ruins, namely Sacsahuaman and Machu Picchu. While I was there, I witnessed Inti Raymi (Festival of the Sun), the historic summer solstice celebration in which hundreds of Peruvians performed various reenactments and dances while parading through the plaza.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the piano (intermediate) and read music. I will teach you Yankee Doodle!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking skills, namely following directions and adding some spice of my own. I listen well and thoroughly enjoy hearing about other people's interests and hobbies. Got a project you been meaning to get help with? Maybe I have the skills! It brings me joy to help people get things done!

Countries I’ve Visited
