Overview
About Me
I spend my childhood in Moscow and then lived in Sant-Petersburg, Vyborg, Jerusalem and kibutz (It's like a socialistic commune in Israel) Ein-Ha-Shofet. Two years ago I returned to Jerusalem and live here ever since.
What always amazed me about this country and this town especially - it's the great amount of people from deferent countries, nations, cultures, religions and how they live together and try to let others live, even if they hate or despise or want to save each other from something. You walk on a streets and you see really why Jerusalem is the center of the world - because IT IS the center of the world to so many people.
I obsessed with different cultures and their interaction. In multicultural cities or countries and in interstate relationships. What especially fascinates me - it is cultural features in close-to-state-border towns and villages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I usually travel with some expeditions or stay at friends houses or spent a night in hostels and just visit people, but hey! maybe ones I'll find a courage to ask to stay in home of people I don't know. At least I hope so)
Music, Movies, and Books
I do not really have any favorite music, books or movies but here's some I always like to hear/watch/talk about; Monteverdi, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Phillip Glass, Queen, Beatles, Flogging Molly, Katzenjammer and some Russian and Israeli mostly lyric and melodic stuff.
Wes Anderson, Lars von Trier, Werner Herzog, Alejandro G. Inarritu, Bernardo Bertolucci, Zach Braff (yep, he turned to by a very good director), Martin McDonag, John Michael McDonagh and OH MY GOD Pirates of the Caribean (the first one - it's just perfect), and some Russian and Israeli movies
And it's to much to write about books.
