About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Sometimes I do not want to sleep becuase I know there is more to see and I do not want to miss something. They say traveling opens your eyes, which is great becuase that is exactly what I want- to see, learn, and discover my best imaginations more.

ABOUT ME

I am friendly, talkative, love meeting new people, optimistic, outgoing, jump on the chance to explore and try something new. I also love practicing my Spanish. I want to become fluent and if I get the chance/have the time I want to learn other languages as well. I love having conversations as much as traveling, I'll take the opportunity anytime anywhere.

PHILOSOPHY

"Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand."
- Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet other people. I love that CouchSurfers share the passion for travel, other cultures, other languages, and having fun times.

Interests

I am interested in theater and have acted in plays as well as like watching them, singing (I choirs, plays, and for fun, and I have goal is to find karaoke bars in other countries and sing in them.)I like swimming, fútbol(soccer), ice hockey, zip lining, rock climbing, cave exploring, traveling, learning new languages- I am currently working on Spanish because I have taken it for 9 years, it is beautiful and I really want to become minimally bi-lingual, writing (creative and I have been a reporter and editor of my College newspaper, plays, I have been keeping a blog of my 2011 semester abroad in Spain, song lyrics, and sometimes I try to write short novels, but that is still in the process), reading, art (doodling, Claude Monet,Diego Rivera, Modigliani, Picasso, Degas), watching movies, learning new dances (like Salsa, Swing, Flamenco and Baile Sevillana [still want to learn], Merengue, Cha Cha, and more), of course hanging out with my friends, political science/international studies-they are my majors in college :D. I think it is really interesting to hear other people's perspectives on different topics, it makes life more fun and colorful in the best of ways.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful and amazing things I have experienced is something one may not expect. This is finding a state of complete relaxation and happiness in the desert. You find a bit of shade, sit down with friends, gaze at the cliffs, mountains, and the small stream and waterfall, embrace the small breeze, close your eyes and listen to the legends of the land as they are told by those from the land. The desert is one of my favorite places. Also the desert has the best sunrise I have ever seen and the best food in the bedouin tents.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, China, Cuba, Haiti, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
