ABOUT ME

I am a recent empty-nester as my daughters have left for college and travels and I have a spacious home in a great location in NE Phoenix. I have a very large backyard garden that I enjoy tending and I'm an avid cyclist and yogi. I live a simple life and enjoy cooking with vegetables from the garden, walking dogs, practicing yoga & long bike rides. I grew up in Phoenix, but I was born in New York. I consider myself a Phoenician and an ambassador to our city - I know lots of great places to eat, play and visit. I love to cook and enjoy hosting and traveling. I have bikes to share and even a sweet tandem bike that I'm happy to lend or captain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to host and travel and experience couchSurfing. I stay busy and lead a simple life. I enjoy helping others, raising kids, being a good person and sharing my garden harvest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have much couchSurfing experience...yet. I will this summer when my daughters and I travel Europe participating in couchSurfing along the way. I will check back and relate my amazing experiences soon - Stand by. I am very interested in hosting at my home and helping people enjoy the beauty and adventure of Arizona. I know much about the area and can provide much assistance if you like.

Movies: adventure, drama, love - anything good. My all time favorite movie is Little Miss Sunshine. Love quirky family movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiking and rafted the Grand Canyon. Done a lot of river rafting as a crew member and outback cook. Done much hiking and exploring throughout the Arizona, Utah area.

Teach, Learn, Share

I consider myself an excellent bike and hike tour host. I know and have traveled the back roads in Phoenix and most of the hiking trails. I know much about the desert Southwest and great places to go and see. If I don't know something, I know someone who can get an answer.
