ABOUT ME

My life has become richer and yet more simple over time, as I more strongly connect with what I really love and simply avoid or minimize that which I don't need. What really matters to me in this life are people, real people, especially those who love life or want to love life.
A scary encounter with illness a few years ago set me on a path of deeper inner searching that I never thought I would do, but of all the journeying I have done in my life, this has been the most profound and meaningful journey yet!

Being connected though my work (at festivals every summer) to a community of people who are connecting with their hearts, searching of higher consciousness and healing, amazing music, festivals, community, people and nature has been transformational for me.
The journey has taken me on a spiritual path (non-dual, advaita). In this sense I am also hosting a weekly meeting in support of the search for self-realization,
Purchased some land in Costa Rica and will soon build a little house, and will be able to host there also.

PHILOSOPHY

Having many realizations about me and my life. Finally getting clearer on the purpose of my life and how important it is for me to align myself with that purpose. Even though I have the ideal work in the summer, I realize that I want more in life, I want connection, support, community, deep communication and loving relationships. I am on a journey to create my ideal life... wait I am living my dream life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Some time has passed since I have joined this community and I finally couchsurfed in Thailand, with the lovliest of hosts, but have hosted a few times and loved doing do. Have also connected with the couch surfers calgary group, which is a lot of fun and inspiring. I will keep hosting and am very interested in building the calgary community. It is amazing how quickly humans are able to connect on a deeper level when they are given permission - CS does that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of my favorite ones is a couple of travels who were going to stay with me ( i was out of town), stopped over for a few hours just for the sake of socializing and meeting, they brought soup and I made apple juice, we hung out, connected and then said farewell... so casual, natural but ever so meaningful. The magic of CS.

Interests

I have the best way of making my living... I vend at a couple of Music Festivals, own a store in another city, to sell the goods I buy, design and get produced.
Also do some life coaching and offer spiritual guidance, I prefer being present and spending some connected moments over being all over the place and running around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love independent film, but am not a movie buff. I like to socialize too much. Music - all that is good, love dj's, most live music, world music, especially african music.
And books - don't read enough. loved the kite runner, books that make me think or feel or learn something. Love getting book tips

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one of my most humbling experiences was standing on top of a volcano in chile... this was one that was "due" to blow. The moment i was there, it was the most active that it had been in years, there was fear in the eyes of our guide. I felt so vulnerable against the forces of our earth... it did not blow but left me with an experience i will not forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to learn about veggie food, vegan food, raw food, healing and massage techniques, human psychology, guitar, percussion, how to dj, and how we are going to make this a better planet.
I can give people ideas how to build a business, how to life their dreams, my understanding of living, loving and traveling. Will soon have a massage/healing room set up and would love to share that aspect of my being. (I used to be a physio but practice only massage now)
