ABOUT ME

I now a 32 years old girl, with lots of guy in me too I guess as I have short hairs, I like to climb trees, to dance in landscapes and to play (a bit less now) with computers. It maybe that these kinds of activities just shouldnt have a gender.
I'm a bit shy and quiet, but I easily become passionate. I'm a proactive person. I'm also told to be easy going. I like to be alone even though I look sociable.
I learned to be a clean person and I'm more and more caring about that, but i can manage in lots of weired situation. I like to have a minimum of comfort though.
I studied wikis (wikipedia), free software, media and technology activism, alternative media since almost 10 years now. My thesis was about politicization and knowledge legitimation in public wikis. it is done and I'm starting a new life full of dance/film/installation/activism/poetry/travels/research/curiosity...

PHILOSOPHY

I feel closed to anarchism, with a strong interest in community organizing. I'm also a individual who like to care about my and others freedom. i want to enjoy like, learn and share what i enjoyed and learned
I come from the countryside, with deep roots in nature, but i learned to like cities.
I'm not a religious person at all but some of my friends are.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very interested in the principle of sharing places but also in the principles of trust and confidence mediated through the internet. I would love to host people when I'll be back to Montreal.
Also, I might be interested in joining the organization if i found time and a way to feel useful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did host people several times at my place. they were attending a conference, and it was not through couch surfing, but I believe it was a bit similar. I liked it a lot.

Interests

I'm quite active in the free software community as a self help group organizer. i just launched a wiki for montreal (http://wikimontreal.net) though it should be really starting by march 2010. I like participatory devices, games and events. I'm a open space facilitator and I also initiated some participatory artistic installation. i would like to be more involved into some popular education project.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read, fiction, sc fiction, anthropology, explorations and poetry. I write a little too.
I like to paint and do sculpture, but having been absorbed in the writing of my thesis for too many years, i was more watching than doing. I hope to change that by now.
