About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Take life by the minute and take advantage of all the opportunities to have fun.
ABOUT ME
I'm a regular, down-to-earth person. I've spent most of my adult life waiting tables and traveling with an occasional attempt at a career every couple years. I enjoy new experiences and spontaneity. The past couple years, I have settled down a bit and ended up getting married to someone I met during my travels. We are now living in Portland, OR.
PHILOSOPHY
There are so many peculiarities about life that I can never stop being curious and wanting to experience all the possibilities of existence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the CouchSurfing community and try to participate in anyway possible. I'm currently not traveling, so I host as much as I can. I have done a bit of surfing as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had great experiences through CouchSurfing and met many amazing people. It definitely makes traveling much better when you arrive to a city and have many hosts who are excited to give you guidance and offer you a place to stay. Hosting is great as well and allows me to enjoy the spirit of traveling during times when I am unable to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
My all time favorite movies would probably be Patch Adams, Pay It Forward, Fight Club, Lucky Number Slevin, and Fast Food Nation. Most of the movies I watch now days are movies in some sort of romance language to keep up to date with all the hip sayings people are using in those languages. As far as books, I like anything from Neitzsche to Bill Cosby. I love any book that has to do with taking an adventure. Lately I have been spending some going back and forth between Plato, Mark Twain and Noam Chomsky. My favorite music varies depending on the mood. I pretty much like all types of music, but I am usually listening to Ranchero or Manu Chao or Mana to boost the old Spanish vocabulary. Or I'll switch it up and go with French rap. I really can enjoy any type of Genre or any song that has a strong message or interesting outlook on the world we live in. One of my favorite things about traveling is being introduced to new music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a roadtrip for three months with 10 other people in a school bus from Quebec to Guatemala and back.
Being witness to the drum circles and fire dancing on Little Beach in Maui is definitely a memory for a lifetime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to think that I set a pretty good example for making any type of person feel comfortable around me. I know it's not necessarily a tangible skill that one can teach, but I hope that my openness inspires others to be more tolerant, more trusting and less judgmental.
I love learning about new ways to do things that "I already know how to do." I also love learning about new ways of thought and alternative lifestyles or in general lifestyles that are completely different from my own. Of course, I love to learn foreign languages as well.
I love it when people share their stories of their travels and all the interesting experiences they have had.
