About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Sicily: see as much of it in one week as possible. To eat some of the best food on earth, hear about other's lives, share my own, and have an unforgettable experience along the way.
ABOUT ME
Somewhat skinny American kid, who likes wearing a sweater and jeans on most occasions. But really, I don't care. I have a mustache right now, that might be kind of interesting I guess (Don't worry, I can shave it off if you really despise things like that). I like being with people, enjoying conversations, but I am fine with going off on my own too. I am not a party-er. I mean sure, I enjoy a good drink or two, but nothing in excess. I am crazy about food, good food, and I like just about anything. I live in the moment. I believe I was created to experience and enjoy the world, so coach surfing is the result of that.
PHILOSOPHY
Travel light. Tread lightly wherever you go. Invest in the people you are with. Don't be afraid to spend money if it's needed. Wake up early to take full advantage of the day. I live this life because I think there is some dang good reason I am alive, and I try to get closer to that everyday I am alive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, right now, I can only be a surfer. Since home for me, right now, is a small, shared student room near campus in Stockholm, Sweden. But I will be moving back to Spokane, Washington this summer, and if someone happens to be traveling through that part of town, sure, I will have plenty of couch space!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None at all. I mean, I have slept on plenty of couches before, and boy! do I love a good couch. But nothing with couchsurfing yet. Trapani, Sicily will be my first go at it.
Interests
Writing. Loose-leaf tea. Sushi. Frisbee. Longboarding/Skateboarding. A good road bike. Good literature. Egg nog (have you had it before? That thick and creamy Christmas-time drink? It used to be my after-school snack). Organic Foods. Hiking. Deep conversations. Jumping off big cliffs into the ocean (if ever I get the chance).

Music, Movies, and Books
Indy music mostly. The good books I have read: Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, Jayber Crow by Wendell Berry, A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, A River Runs Through It by Norman Mclean, and the Bible. Movies? Don't really have a particular favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently, I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast right on St Finan's Bay near Ballinskelligs, Ireland. And the ocean was literally right there out the window, and green sloping hills went up behind the place. Early in the morning, I went out with my boots and swim trunks and a jacket on, and I jumped in the Atlantic Ocean. That was one amazing experience I won't forget, it was like a dream. There are definitely more stories than just that one though. I don't know if this little box could contain al the amazing things that have happened in my life.
