Finishing my GAP year, after 9 months traveling around the world - the journey still continues: going to Portugal for 2 months and after to Brasil, to settle uhuhuhuhuuuuu

"Currently i'm gradutating in mechanical engineering, waiting unpatiently to finish it and start travelling around the world. My hopes are to get all my dreams completed before I settle down. At the moment I just travel on vacations."

Now the dream is being accomplished :)

I'm very easy going, positive and I love the travel spirit. I am, above all, a serious and honest person .. but also a party one :)

Personal profile & goals:

Hard-worker, pro-active, committed and persistent, I am used to focus on goals and get them accomplished. Very communicative and with great adaptation capacities, I have just finished my master's degree and I am very motivated to work abroad.

Personal & professional experience:

The graduation and master taken were a huge objective, now accomplished, giving me useful theoretical and practical tools but also the need to be organized and committed to my goals.

My professional experiences, while I was studying, made me handle a lot of parallel responsibilities and with different people in many delicate situations.

The exchange program done in Brazil was not only a huge student challenge, with multicultural contact while studying in a totally different environment, but also a personal one as I lived for one year and three months away from home with a distinct daily routine from what I was used to.

The internship made in Sonae Indústria, in the Master's degree context, was my first engineering professional experience with achieved results that exceeded by far the expectations.

Furthermore, my passions have always been traveling and practicing sports which have forced me to be persistent and focused.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No words to describe it! I reckon the main reason for the good experiences is that if someone is willing to host you for free after one website request, than that person HAS to be open minded and cool enough to make it worth it. So yes .. My experiences so far were the BEST!
Specially in Australia, where we still hang out and travel together!!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Traveling around the world for 9 months !! No words!

- Bungee Jumping in NZ, Queenstown: now that's scary!!!

- Got to see a Boca Juniors vs. River Plate in Argentina. This match is in the list of the 100 things to do before you die :)

- Skydiving in the south of Portugal: one of the most amazing things I have ever made, and truly recommend.

- Hang-gliding in Rio de Janeiro, with one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen

Had a blast doing teaching in a school in Kenya, Mombasa for over a month! Besides teaching, helped them with a fund raising to build a chicken house and give them a good monthly revenue with it :)
Also built a website for them to help spread the school to other volunteers!

DO IT! I though I would be teaching... and end up learning more! :)
