About Me

I used to live in Berlin, which is home, but I wanted to be more outdoors so I moved to Cambodia.
I bind books, design web pages and build things, in that order usually.
Right now I'm working next to a river in some bungalows, helping manage the place and the jungle tours.
All my relatives say I am a nice person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Waking up in a place you don't know is I think one of the best feelings there are. I find I feel very awake when I'm with people I don't know well so I try to do it more and more often.

Interests

Dogs, snakes from a distance, books, walking around different places, drawing, being in gardens, with plants.

Music, Movies, and Books

Now I'm listening to Kate Tempest, Philip Glass, Alt-J, Air, Satie, lots of eighties things like the Undertones

Mishima, D.H.Lawrence, Borges, Foster Wallace, Steinbeck.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, as a kid, I was playing hide and seek on a farm with some friends, who lived there. I wanted to hide a bit further than usual and I ran across a small cemented surface. The surface was thin, gave in, and was not cement. This farm collected cow dung and water in a deep pool, to make fertilizer, and it's surface dries the greyish colour of what an 8 year old considers cement. I managed to grab hold of the edge and was not an odd front page article on a local newspaper. In my mind I can see now it was sort of ochre.
