One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling through Germany by bus I was completely amazed and the number of castles in rubble one passes on modern roads. Thinking about how the small communities functioned hundreds of years ago is quite fascinating.
Snowboarding in the Swiss Alps was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
I flew into Madrid several years ago and had to wait a couple of hours in the airport for the rest of my party to arrive. While sitting there, a man maybe five years older than I (19 at the time) came up to me and asked me a few questions in broken Spanish. At first I was a little skeptical about his intentions. After realizing he was only asking for directions and the time I provided him with the best information I could. We ended up talking for three hours, him in Portuguese and me in Spanish; each understanding enough to get by. I had no idea I could enjoy a conversation with a complete stranger so much.
During my first Europe visit I stayed in Lucerne Switzerland. Myself and a couple friends went swimming in the lake and found two diving boards in the middle of the lake; a high dive and a regular. We spent about an hour and a half swimming and jumping off of the diving boards in the middle of the alps. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
Sorry, couldn't keep it to one. :)
