ABOUT ME

I'm not totally sure how to describe myself, but I'll have to give it a shot, I suppose...

I'm pretty normal except for I can't keep from dancing when music is on and my favorite movies/tv are on the more geeky and/or less reputable side. I also accidently sing along to every song I've ever heard before and, as it pertains to things within reason, I'm of the "I'll try anything once" mentality. More recently that has included trying oysters and an all-too-rapid drinking game - luckily, not in the same night.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to have a really catchy motto that I was particularly proud of, but after years of disuse, I forgot it. Go figure. Currently, I suppose I'd have to say that my personal philosophy is to always be passionate about something. In the words of my favorite writer, "without passion, we are truly dead."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not quite sure yet, I'm still new to the system, but I hope to be a good participant! I love meeting new people and this community seems so great, that I can't wait to be able to update this section in the near future about how awesomely integrated I am into the couchsurfing ways!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far, but ready to start! Besides, of course, crashing on my friends' couches all over these united states. Those experiences have been lovely!

Interests

I live and breathe the entertainment industry in many ways. I love to sing, dance, go out, stay in, play sports, go shopping, cook, eat, discover, create and sleep, to name a few!

Hopefully in the future I will be adding "reading" to this list, so as to round me out a little better, but as it stands now, I've just had absolutely no time!

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now Major Lazer, the Cataracs, Q-tip and David Guetta are on my "recently added" playlist. Some more enduring music favorites include Jamiroquai, Queen, Justin Timberlake, No Doubt, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Curtis Mayfield and Elton John. Genre-wise, I love funk, disco, house, hip-hop and some pop.

As for movies, I have over 100 DVDs easily, but my top picks would be John Hughes movies, Clue, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Dolly Parton is the best!), The Count of Monte Cristo and any other comedy, romcom, thriller, sci-fi, drama or indie flick that has an awesome combination of writing and acting.

TV favs I'll keep short and sweet; Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Archer, Doogie Howser MD, That 70s Show, Glee, Degrassi, Cake Boss, Saved by the Bell, Greek, American Dad, Family Guy, True Blood, Arrested Development and many a single season show that was awesome, but unfortunately fizzled out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It wouldn't be amazing for many people, but when I climbed to the top of Mt. Wilson in Los Angeles, the beautiful view/surroundings coupled with my intense sense of accomplishment put it in the "amazing" category for me.
