About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Everything exciting

ABOUT ME

I've deleted this first line too many times. Mainly because it was full of trash about how much I love travelling, I assume thats pretty obvious since I'm writing it on this website.

So. Things I love?
Meeting really cool interesting people.
Getting excited.
Dancing to animal collective and caribou.
Hitching.
Learning.
Swearing in foreign languages.
Reading.
Full stops.
My friends.
Walking with my eyes closed.
Stopping and realising life is pretty fucking cool.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to think I'm on abit of a quest to say yes. I feel like theres so much stuff that can be missed and that everyone should try not to miss 'it'.
I live my life because it can be truly awesome. There seems no other point to life apart from to enjoy it, whilst also helping others enjoy theirs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done very little so far.
Currently can't take surfers as I'm living in a staff house.
In the future my house is going to be open to all. Good coffee and optional rolly as standard.
I guess I help out travellers in general by hooking up friends in far lands with travelling buddies who are round that way and need a place to stay. Afraid in my current situation its all I can really do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I accidentally couch surfed a fair bit when I was hitching in New Zealand a few yrs back, mainly from super kind people who felt sorry for me when I started to sleep rough [most notably the grandfather of 2 english popstars].
After that and many other similar situations in various countries my only true couch surfing experience was when i lived in a yurt in maui for a month [taken in again] and some really cool danish girls and a dude came to stay.
Then the penny kinda dropped and i signed up.

Music, Movies, and Books

This will be long and terribly boring.

Music - anything that makes me excited, dance, dream or grin.
Films - anything that makes me think or laugh
Books - all of the above. Namely Jitterbug perfume, Life according to Garp, hard boiled wonderland and the kontiki expedition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The 1st time I saw the milky way.

Watched the sun set and rise on top of Haleakala.

Watched a moonbow whilst riding in the back of a pickup with my friends through the jungle of Maui.

Spent a winter working in the forests of Canada.

Driving through the endless frozen woods of northern alberta

I dont think anyone could stop answering this. So i might stop now.

Teach, Learn, Share

Try everything once [even a dreaded career]

Never worry if you're doing the right thing in life

You have a choice to how the actions of other people make you feel - a really irritating man taught me that, i think mainly to justify how annoying he was. Probably the best thing i've ever learnt though.

Never eat antiperspirant sticks.
