ABOUT ME

Hey there!

I love being outdoors. Hands down, that is where I feel at home. I'm a musician at heart, so put me in the backcountry with a guitar or drum in hand and I'm a happy camper. I've been adventuring all over the place and as I get older, my adventures get more and more exciting. Right now, my bandmates and I are planning a 10-year anniversary trip to the East Coast of Canada. We're looking to spread good around Halifax using our instruments to do so. Always keen for a good jam session.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had a few couch surfing experiences. So far, they've all been pretty solid. It's really cool the types of people one meets through this network.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A while back, I went to Japan and lived with a Japanese family for 4 months. They didn't speak English, I didn't speak Japanese, but it was the best I started off when I was 21 in Japan. I stayed with a family for 4 months of my life. I became a part of their family. The sons treated me like a brother, the parents treated me like a son. I played music for them, taught them English, went to the children's track and field events. I baked them Canadian-style pizzas and other dishes. I learned Japanese from the family and tasted traditional Japanese cuisine. They showed me all sorts of secret gems of Japan that any normal tourist would never see.

Recently, I've had the pleasure of hosting a couple of surfers, meeting up with a couple of surfers and staying with a couple.

Intereses

Traveling, biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, bouldering, slacklining, hiking, swimming, cross-country skiing, camping, eating, cooking, jamming, playing guitar, playing drums, snowboarding, vegetarianism, environmentalism. (Can you tell I'm outdoorsy?)

As I get older, my adventures get more and more exciting. I've seen some pretty cool things and been to some pretty cool places. I have stories about human kindness that you wouldn't believe.
