About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To stay as far off of the beaten path as possible
ABOUT ME
I am a very busy person. I tour for 6 months out of the year and I have way too many hobbies! I own Goodbeatz Productions. We're producing events, artists, and music in the electronic field. I went to recording school and currently work as a Front of House and Monitor Engineer for Oasis Productions out of Seattle, WA. Ceramic artwork is a huge hobby of mine. I used to have a full ceramic studio set up in my shed, but then it all went into storage so I could hit the road. Poker is another one of my hobbies. My friends and I have been studying and playing poker since '99, and I'm actually the only one left that doesn't play professionally. I love to snowboard! I've lived in Tahoe, CA for the last two winters and loved every minute of it. This winter I'm going to be backpacking all over Europe for 2 and a half months with my girlfriend, Yzaura. We have no plan and no schedule, but a few key places we want to hit. We can't wait to get there and dive in head first. Hopefully we'll meet some cool locals along the way to help us stay as far away from the tourists as possible.
PHILOSOPHY
I basically want to find out what the world has to offer from a local's perspective. I can't stand tourist traps and people that are content believing they've really experienced a place after taking a guided tour and being herded around like cattle. I strongly believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, and assuming that they won't do me wrong. If we are guarded and expect the worst out of people we are more likely to get it. If I stick my neck out 10 times and get burned once, it is worth it to me to maintain my outlook and be right 9 out of 10 times.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined couchsurfing, and have only recently heard about it. I love the idea and the fact that people here actually have faith in the good of humantity. It's a rarity these days. Currently my residence consists of a tour bus for 6 months out of the year, and renting rooms in LA or Tahoe for the other 6. I'm headed to Europe all winter, then back on tour, so I can't really offer any place for people to crash... but when I finally settle down (eeeew!) I would totally open my doors to the travelers of the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The closest thing I've ever done to couchsurfing is posting ads on Craigslist rideshare section to let people know that I was making a road trip and they could catch a ride with me if they needed one. I'm a rookie... hopefully not for too long.

Music, Movies, and Books
The list is waaaaaaaaaaay too long. You're gonna have to talk to me in person for this one...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped someone who had just been in a car accident get out of the freeway just before a giant bus hit his car, picked it up off of the ground, and sent it flying right at me. I jumped over the guard rail and it missed me, but it was a damn close call. Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a recording engineer as well as a live sound engineer and I also know how to put together a theatrical production or concert from the ground up. I would love to be able to share my skills and help someone that could use them. I love to cook, and would be happy to put some good food on the table if I can use your kitchen. I'm interested in learning about European cuisine and recipes that I can add to my collection. I'm very handy, and can fix most things around the house, so I'd be happy to help in that respect too.
