ABOUT ME

I love getting to know people and traveling. My sister is my best friend and my roomie so we will be hosting couch surfers together. we both love exploring and trying new things, and new places. She, Autumn, is brilliant and applying to go to med school or get a masters in the fall.. i have been called a wanderer, gypsie and granola.. I would love to do teachers training for Hot yoga.. I am a painter and I love kids! Our time spent here is mainly with friends and at church families! We both love Jesus, and want to follow him as best we can, and thats by just loving the people around us! We have lived in Raleigh nC for 4-6 years now and know all the great local spots and are happy to show anyone visiting around. Once we get to Portland we will be exploring for ourselves, bc it will all be new, but are happy to host surfers at our apt there!! we are so excited to finally get to be roomies! Looking forward to surfing and hosting and seeing the world one couch at a time!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that my life is not my own. we were bought at a price, saved by Jesus Christ and our lives should reflect that. This is my lifes pursuit. I struggle with it everyday, because I am selfish and constantly thinking about whats in it fo rme, but it should be others first and just loving my neighbor. I hope I can show that through hosting anyone! i want you to have an amazing time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we will participate by hanging out with anyone in Raleigh while we are here! we will be here until december 20th. That means coffee, going out to eat, riding bikes, hot yoga, going to a movie, showing you around the downtown, going to church, having a loco pop.. whatever you want to do! and then when we are in Portland hosting people at our apt. taking them out! and just showing them a good time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i have had phenomenal couching experiences. i met a girl from Portland at the train station in lucca, verelle,and she was waiting to be picked up by her couch surfing host, veronica viola. Lng story short, I ended up tagging along, and veronica and her family were amazing! they welcomed me in for 2 nights, i didnt want to leave!!! we had an amzing room as well! their house is so adorable! They were so generous to verelle and I, so we made them dinner one night.. veggie burgers and pancakes in the morning..it was one of my favorite times in italy! Not only did veronica hos tme for 2 nights last minute, but contacted her old flat mate in Rome and I ended up surfing with her for 2 nights in Rome, eleanora Viola. Thus, my first and only couch surfing has been in Italy and they were fantastic! I can't wait for them to come to the US or to get back to Italy!

Interests

Painting,Hot yoga,Cycling, Reading, Cooking, Indie Flicks, going to the big theatre and local plays. I love loco pops and meeting for coffee, and just trying new things. My favorite restaraunts are anything ethnic! We have an amazing vietnamese place, lebanese and indian.. and sushi.. i love sushi!

The bible, it is the greatest love story ever written. Check it out! the red tent, irresistable reviolution, A voice in the wind, really anything francine rivers. The Georgia nicolson series, by rennison.. love it! it is our all time car trip read.. Thoene books, the color of water.. there are so many i could never fit them all on here. i am always up for good book suggestions. Autumn and i love to read.. she read a lot more then me as well. we both cannot wait to be right neat Powell's books in portland!yay! music.. love indie and rock and christian rock, and country, some rap, love oldies.. all kinds of stuff. some faves are all american rejects, jack's mannequin, postal service, phil wickham, taylor swift..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have made it through 2 acl surgeries and a couple other minor surgeries. I have been an entrepeneur since i was 18... The Lord has always provided and it has been an amazing journey. I have never been want for anything. I just got back from my first trip to italy and it was indescribable.

Religion equal rules, its not about religion its about a relationship and thats with jesus Christ. happy tto talk about this anytime and hopefully show it through my life.

Put other people before yourself.it will always work out best. our society is too selfish.

Your never too old, or too far gone to try something new, to change your way of thinking, or lif's pursuit. I still don't know what i want to do for a career so i am traveling, meeting new people and having all new experiences so that when i meet someone who I want to do what they do I can ask them and go from there. In the meantime I am going to spend my time doing what i love now, painting, workng out, with hotyoga and cycling, and just investing in the friends around me.
