I'm a free spirited San Franciscan of Mexican, Cuban and Puerto Rican descent. My life has been devoted to music since I was 10 years old. I perform with hip-hop band Invisible Inc. as DJ, flutist and EWI player. I play in many other bands ranging from jazz and latin to hip-hop and bhangra. I also produce electronic music and teach classes on music theory, harmony and DAW production.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the future, and how technology is reshaping our species and planet.

I am almost always humming a tune either in my head or out loud.
On a typical Friday night I am either playing a show, or chilling at home with my dog.

I've used couchsurfing a bunch before on previous music tours through the USA and Europe. I've always had a great experience with my hosts, way way better than staying in hotels (isolating, expensive).

Aside from music I'm really into food and gardening. I have an adventurous palette but my favorite meals are the ones I make myself from scratch. I don't eat anything processed.

I’m really good at playing jazz flute, playing any instrument I can get my hands on, making beats, communication, throwing a single-tail whip.

I love good mind-expanding sci-fi such as Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy and 2312, Neil Stephenson's Reamde and The Diamond Age, The Dune books. Also a big fan of non-fiction, especially history.

I play an instrument called the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) which is a digital music controller in the style of a saxophone or clarinet. It allows me to change and customize my sounds quickly, like a keyboardist, and stretch from a sub bass range to high piccolo notes. I'm gonna be bringing it with me on my upcoming travels to busk with!

I love to cook meals for my hosts, my style is fresh, healthy and no shortcuts taken. I prefer to do everything from scratch!

I also love jamming with my hosts or just entertaining with songs, stories and laughter. In the past I've been happy to provide computer help and roof cleaning to my hosts as well.
