About Me
CURRENT MISSION
i just don't know what to say here!! i would like to live and work long enough to be able to go back and visit new zealand again ....
ABOUT ME
I used to live in Luxembourg - but moved to france - and have no idea how many people will want to stay with us now ... as the place we will be for a big part of the year is rather remote.
i try to be tolerant, helpful and easy going. I like my job, would like to travel more but lack the money to do so. I love my dogs. After you've read my profile (please do read the additional information in the my home section before requesting a couch) just call in and find out everything else...
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By hosting respectful (please read also the additional information in the my home and about-me-section before requesting a couch) people.
Couchsurfing is not facebook and also no dating-site, so do not expect replies to "how are you"-messages. also friend requests from people i do not know will be ignored. they are a part of the cs safety net.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
i've hosted couchsurfers, hospitalityclub and servas members. before knowing about these networks, i've had some very good experiences with wwoofing (willing workers on organic farms) in australia and new zealand. as i don't travel much these times, i've only had the opportunity to surf couches three times. i just love meeting people from all over the world, it sometimes feels as if i'd known them for ever.
but not always ... since july 2015 there is a negative reference on my profile. i choose not to comment on any of her accusations - but would like to clarify here, that well behaved, respectfull people with normal, well trained, quiet pets are always welcome to stay with us. you might have to stay in the smaller bedroom, which has two single beds and is the coldest room in the house. if you'd feed your dogs next to mine, and your dogs wouldn't eat their food right away, my dogs will most likely clean out their bowls. but because the jackrussel that keeps me company for 12 years, has a food allergy, he needs a special diet. i would explain this to you and then ask you to please feed your dogs in your room and i would also expect you to keep your dogs' food out of my dogs reach. i might, especially in summer, be able to get home up to one hour earlier than expected from work, and it would be appreciated that you didn't leave any food not eaten by your dogs the floor waiting for my jack russell, knowing that he would get ill after stuffing himself with it. and telling me that you didn't expect me home so early would not be considered a valid excuse. your dogs (if small) have to be kept in kennels or transport boxes, as i would like to keep the guestrooms free of doghair. bigger ones should sleep on the floor on their doggie-beds. if your dog(s) always sleep(s) on the bed, you'd have to inform me and i will then provide spreads to keep the sheets clean.
with or without dogs, guests just always have to leave the bathroom as tidy as they've found it - and immediately clean up whatever leftovers there might be stuck in the shower. wet towels have to be kept in the bathroom - they are not to be taken into the bedroom for whatever reasons you would like to do that.
