About Me

ABOUT US

Maja: I am a poet who likes traveling.. or a traveler who writes poetry. Either way - new countries, new cultures, new experiences inspire me to write and create. I have so far published three collections of poetry about my travels around the world. When I am at home, I work as a literary translator, translating books from English into Croatian. Most of the money I earn I spend on traveling as I find that the best way to learn about the world and oneself. I am open for all sorts of adventures, learning, exploring, social and art projects...

Goran: I am a passionate traveller, especially when it comes to travelling on foot. I've so far walked the Camino de Santiago, I've walked from Umag to Rome, and currently I am walking 3500 kms from Jordan to Croatia. This gives me an opportunity to see the beauty in all the details of the world and to learn a lot about myself as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

open-mindedly, we browse the profiles and look for people who are similar to us so that the time we spent together, whether sharing a couch or just a walk around the town, is pleasant and enriching to all of us.. we host people at our home and also use CS around the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found couches in southern Croatia (Split), Scotland (beautiful Glasgow), Belgium.. found bunch of interesting people and useful info while in Salvador, Bahia through Couchsurfing; I also use couchsurfing to find like-minded people and useful tips on travelling (on my current trip across Peru couchsurfing has been of an immense help!)
