About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Shorten that bucket list...and all that other 'raising the collective consciousness' stuff too :)

ABOUT ME

I'll try everything once....and if I like it...I'll try it twice ;)

After graduating from med school and surviving the 'oh-so-exciting-nowhere-close-to-grey's-anatomy' life as a medical intern...I've finally managed to start my own GP/acupuncture clinic! Blood and guts just don't do it for me. Go figure! I'm all about the universal chi flow now.

On rare occasions when my head is out of the books and I am not in the office...I'm out eating and dancing and traveling (sometimes all of the above simultaneously :D). Food: anything and everything especially anything asian (insects included), music: 80s 80s 80s, travel: the harder it is to get there, the happier I am.

At the moment I am not hosting but I'm happy to meet up anyone passing by for drinks and show off my kickass city.

PHILOSOPHY

You win some, you lose some...the universe keeps count so you don't have to

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good :)

Interests

Sharing this brief time on earth with other positive, curious, genuine travel junkies.

I'm not as creative as I'd like to be, so I'm pretty easily impressed with most things creative/unique/alternative....no matter how trifling they may be.

Other people's collections amuse me. There's always a story behind them and I'm always interested. It's astonishing what you can learn about someone through their expanding bond to once-trivial objects.

Maps fascinate me...musicians too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've tried many a time to get into the wonderful world of fiction...but it just doesn't do it for me.

So you'll find me curled up with some eastern philosophy/new age/documentary type books. I am giving Orchid Empress and The Last Empress a go though...but then again that's more documentary than fiction isn't it?!

Movies...La Vita e Bella!! Into the Wild, Lives of Others, Fight Club

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Whale watching off the coast of Greenland - siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick :)

-Climbing ''DANGER! KEEP OUT'' portions of the Great Wall in China

-Reliving the TITANIC Southampton-New York sail....and actually making it to the other side

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can teach you how to play 'Mary had a little lamb' or Rachmaninoff's Prelude Op.3 No.2 on piano...depending on how much time we have.

LEARN: I'm dying to learn to speak Mandarin fluently.

SHARE: My cooking skills are somewhat limited, but I'll share my mean chocolate souffle any time (yummy-gooey centre and all!!).

Countries I’ve Visited
