ABOUT ME
I am a child of the freshly united Germany, at least I can say that I went to a good old communist kindergarten.
Ever since I am young I loved to do sports and all outdoor activities. That's why I fell in love to: cycling, gymnastics, soccer, hiking, snowboarding, surfing. If god only allowed me to choose two sports - i guess it would be gymnastics and snowboarding.
Event though the work live is quite straining, I´m no couch potato. I love to hang out with my friends on the beach, do sports and be often seen at parties.
Next to transportation related stuff my academic interests also cover the urban development and urban planning processes, so tell me about your city.
For furhter information you might check out my facebook page.
PHILOSOPHY
Time is precious and experiences are more important than a fancy car.
I want to reach something in my transportation profession, but not for the price to hang out in the office 24/7. And I'd rather have a job giving me satisfaction than a job giving me a bunch of money.
And the rest of my life is searching for fun and being a good friend.
I hate fellow citizens who complain about german conditions(traffic, health system, social security, ...) - complaining on a very high level.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This post is old, but it still hits the mark:
I am pretty new to the whole CS thing. But of course I like the idea of bringing people together and understand each others culture better.
Right now I live here in the USA in a residence hall with people from all over the world and I like it a lot.
And while Mr. Bush and Mr. Achmahdinedschad are still in confliction, I already became a good friend of an Iranian guy here at the residence hall. That seems basically like the idea of CS.
So I will try to meet many people and make some good global friends while hosting others or while being hosted.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed three times so far, was awesome everytime. I like the fact that one becomes so involved into the lives of the normal local people and that I did not have to sit bored in a boring hotel room.
I can't wait to host my first surfers (which will be anytime soon, since I moved in a new flat in April 2011).
