About Me

Hello!
I'm a 26 year old young professional-turned student again, currently living and loving life in Vancouver, Canada. I'm fortunate enough to enjoy a city surrounded with such natural beauty, and access to any sort of adventure of my choosing - windsurfing, sailing, cycling, hiking, camping, kayaking - anything.

I'm a civil engineer, now undertaking a master's degree in Urban Studies at Simon Fraser University because I enjoy studying anything and everything about the organism we call the city. My particular interest in cities revolves around adaptation to climate change - we are always more connected to our natural environment than we remember sometimes.

I've used couchsurfing before when I was backpacking through Europe, and had a great experience with it. To me, this is far from a free hotel service, it is a great way to exchange some travel stories for a friendly host that can also tell me about their city and lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am huge supporter of the sharing economy. Not just to save cash, but for reducing environmental impacts as well.
The best part about it though is engaging with local people and swapping stories, while learning about each other's way of life.

Interests

All kinds of sports - hockey, track and field, windsurfing, sailing and cycling are my favourites.

While I'm exploring the cities that I am visiting, I want to learn how the cities thrive and what makes them sustainable or not.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've once competed in a stadium full of 40,000 people as a Track and Field athlete, very intense!

Also, twice in my life I packed my entire life into a car and drove to a new city to live - such a wonderful feeling.

Countries I’ve Visited
