PHILOSOPHY
"Do unto others..." is always a good start.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been very lucky to have met many interesting people on my travels who have been great hosts. I also love showing friends around Sydney, which I believe is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Interests
I have a lot of varied intersts.
I like all kinds of outdoor activities including camping and all kinds of water sports, but I also like books, movies, music (seeing live music and making my own) and art, etc.
I like eating out and trying new foods. I like to cook and I'm keen to learn some new recipes if you're keen to teach :)
I enjoy socialising, nightlife and dancing.
I'm up for just about anything really :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Probably easiest to refer you to my facebook page where I made a list some time ago:

I always say, "There's good music in evey genre." I like a lot of varied music, but I tend to like music with energy. I grew up listening to punk, a I played in a few bands. Next was hiphop, which I find similar to punk believe it or not! From there my taste has diversified and I find myself liking a broader variety of music all the time.
For movies I tend to like either comedy or something with a deeper meaning. I'm not so into Hollywood blockbuster action movies or "chick flicks", although they can be good if they are done right. I also like "so-bad-it's-good" movies like schlock horror and The Room.
My favourite books are often dystopian and/or sci-fi like 1984, Brave New World, Cat's Cradle, etc, but I also appreciate poetic writings like Onjante's Skin of a Lion. Catch-22 is another favourite. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
First of all I've been very lucky to have many interesting and unusual experiences as a doctor, and I'm always amazed at how open and honest people are in the consulting room.
I've also been fortunate to enjoy a lot of unforgetable travel experiences, but the most breathtaking has to be when I was chased by a 300kg mountain gorilla in Rwanda!
Teach, Learn, Share
Part of my travel plan is to practice my Spanish and I'm more than happy to teach English in exchange.
