About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience the beauty of life through connections.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty geeky guy, cinephile, xenophile, and lover of knowledge. I'm super curious and inquisitive. I've traveled quite a bit, but I've lately been spending most of my free time on maintaining, riding, and aquiring motorcycles. Right now, I have four!

PHILOSOPHY

I am a atheist and voluntaryist/anarcho-capitalist. I think non-aggression is a moral imperative, that the world can benefit from

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've gone to a few CS meet-ups. My best friend has hosted numerous surfers. I've met many of them, providing transportation to food and entertainment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outside of CS, I've hosted my friend for about a month. Even though it eats away personal time, it was a fun, enjoyable experience overall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best friend and I went backpacking in Sequoia National Park and we ended up getting lost and caught in a brief snowstorm after almost getting swept away by a cold river. We cooked our socks and underwear to try and dry them.

I traveled around China mostly alone (my Chinese friend couldn't get his Visa!), which was quite challenging, especially since I started in Scotland and also went to Hong Kong and Tokyo.

In a last-minute decision, I rented a motorcycle for 24 hours in Tuscany. The planned schedule did not work out, so I had to stay in a last-minute booking in a small town. Riding back into Firenze was a nightmare, but it was an amazing experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd also love to learn and share any knowledge of backpacking, climbing, and biking. If you're doing something exciting in some specialized field, and want to share some of the basic technical details, that would be super cool too. We can alos discuss the merits of a market-based society with no government! I'm sure you'll be enthralled. :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make many good recommendations on places I've been: sights, food, wine, coffee, art. I was once talked into making Czech-style Chicken Paprikash for a host. If you haven't learned to love coffee, I may be able to fix that! You'll be brewing the good stuff in no time!
