I've fallen more than I've managed to look really cool, gotten scrapes bigger than Texas and I look like a total dork in my helmet but I love it!!! Whoever you are, you need to start skating. Hi, my name is Görel, I am 21 years old and I live in Linköping, Sweden. I like dressmaking and tailoring, watching Star Trek, obviously TNG, but with a new found interest in DS9, and taking long walks in the sunset.

I am a moderate nerd, I don't play DaD, but I love Star Trek. And I have a strong love/hate-relationsship with math, love it most of the time, I tend to romantisize, until I hit a roand bump in my learning it. Then math can go jump off a cliff as far as I'm concerned.

I started sewing when I was in my early teens, since I came to the obvious fact that no clothes fit a tall, skinny girl who grows an inch every three months. And it has to, lika math, been a hobby with two sides of the coin. But I just got my first payed job as a costume designer for an awesome band! So at the moment it's mostly love!

Random facts about me (you always had to write these things in your little book about yourself that you had when you were 12)

Favorite:

Colour at the moment: Chartreuse

Fruit: Blood Orange(always will be) but also my neighbours cherries.

Vice: Girly things. The Devil Wears Prada is my favorite book and I love brushing my hair. There is a reason to why this is my "favorite vice" and not just one of my vices. Gaah!

Drink: Appletini. Nomnom. Anything sweet and tart.

I have always travelled. My father is a pilot so when I was young I moved around a lot, I think I got my restlessness from him, I basically get worried and bored after being at the same place for more than 6 months. You could call it traveladdiction, I suppose. Or a shrink surely has a name for it but anywho, I need to see all of the world, and preferably soon!

I hate these type of job-interview-questions. How will I contribute? Well, I want to be a more openminded person, so hopefully, by hosting people and travelling the world with my point of view, help others to do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have a dear friend from school who is an awesome host and through her I have met so many people from around the world, people she hosted through CS. Made some seriously good friends through this community.

The flipside of the coin - with every single internet community, no matter how blue-eyed and cautious you are, you will run in to a couple of nuts. But I try to see past those experiences and keep looking for the gold!

I like making things with my machine of total awesomeness. Or the sewing machine Pfaff Performance 2058. drool. Clothes, bags, stuff.

I have taken studio dancing to the dancefloor, sad but true, I only dance when I go out, but man do I dance.

Propelling my bodyweight on 8 wheels and hitting hard things also seems fun.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

First time I say a roller derby bout. It was three hours of sitting on a cold floor, but it went by in the blink of an eye. In Stockholm with a friend of mine, we went to see a game between Sweden and Finland. I don't think I've ever seen such bad-assery going on. Just blew my mind. Made me get my own skates!
