About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live by the ocean one day.

ABOUT ME

in no particular order - some random truths or things i consider important. they are still variable, though.

handcraft.
town planning, architecture, sociology, design, user experience (service, product, interaction design - i don't have any academic background for these though, i'm just fascinated).
linguistic (since i've started using 3 languages on a daily basis).
typography.
i have a deep appreciaton for all the possibilities to work on tasks related to interpersonal communication, where ideas and knowledge are shared and creativity promoted.
i like organizing and managing things, but don't enjoy working in very hierarchical structures.
reading / books / magazines (paper & digital)
people's stories and backgrounds and the ways they express themselves.
i totally enjoy listening to people speaking their native languages - no need to say sorry when you need to switch for a while, i'm having much more fun than you suppose.
textures, structures, patterns. folding. ruffles. multiplications. diagrams.
i tend to be chaotic while speaking.
i don't eat meat.
i love coffee. put a cup in front of me and i'll be all smiles. i'm simple sometimes.
i love knowledge, but i'm not a scholar type. it's a wonder my MA supervisor still has some faith in me.
i'm more cafe than club kind of girl, but i highly enjoy open-air parties, though.
i don't like capital letters (but sometimes work doing proof-reading).
i love preparing meals together.
balkan / middle eastern movies and culture as a whole.
for the past 2 years i've been helping to organize B_TOUR - International Festival of Urban Tours, which we have so far presented in Berlin, Belgrade and Leipzig.
i don't smoke and prefer non-smoking areas.

my name is the polish version of english margaret, french marguerite, latin margarita, hungarian margit, german gretchen. seems less dangerous now, right?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

a bit of hosting, a bit of surfing, and i play a city guide sometimes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good ones, even though due to the places I've lived in I had more opportunities to surf, rather than to host.
