CURRENT MISSION
Attain philosopher king status.
ABOUT ME
Music, film and art are very much a part of our lives.
We live as thoroughly as possible outside of the materialistic, money-pursuing America. Aren't trying to get rich, and definitely don't own a boat or intend to own a boat. We don't even own a car! We also live as thoroughly as possible outside of the crappy, commodity-culture of America. No television, are about a decade behind with pop music, will only buy Tommy Hilfiger by accident at the Goodwill. In other words, the sweet life, bitches.
We enjoy good conversation, new experiences, good friends, and our community. We are positive and forgiving and gregarious and kind and more often than not, ridiculous. We both love to travel, and to camp! We are somewhere between staying up until dawn partying and going to bed at 11 so as to wake up at dawn to read and drink tea. Everything in moderation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting: We would like to be great hosts and show CSers around town, share life experiences, etc. We also understand that that isn't always possible. A good conversation with an intrepid explorer from the far reaches of the globe is about all we ask.
Hosted: we're game for everything and anything.
Interests
Classical music, film, art, people, tea, literature, food, booze, history, architecture, modern American culture, language.
Also: Mountainous landscapes, the sea, cheese, beautiful derelict urban space, experimental art, freight trains, the study of aesthetics (and other philosophical pursuits), theoretical mathematics, gender and feminism, monetary economic theory (but it's been a while), meditation, gardening, and long, sweaty exercise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting married in a grove of old growth redwoods, with all our friends and family surrounding us. Such an incredible experience!
