About Me

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently on a WWII reading spree as I'm going to Europe soon (Poland and Czechia).
- Night (Elie Wiesel)
- Maus (Art Spiegelman)
- My Father's Keeper (Stephan Lebert)
- Warsaw 1944 (Alexandra Richie)
- Irene's Children (Tilar J Mazzeo)
- Max & Helen (Sam Wiesenthal)

- A Perfect Spy (John Le Carre)

Always interested in a good Japanese war book:
- 1941 (Eri Hotta)

Light novels/light novel series:
- Log Horizon (ログ・ホライゾン)
- Rurouni Kenshin movie novels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed Mt. Fuji twice!
I've eaten:
- raw horse meat (sliced thin with sauce - pretty good)
- raw chicken breast (slivered with sauce - also pretty good)
- raw fish (sashimi - always pretty good in Japan), ostrich egg (as an huge omelette that I couldn't finish - very eggy and good)
- alligator jerky (tastes like chicken - yum)
- frog's legs (there's a reason Chinese people call it "sweet chicken")

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to teach people to not be afraid to travel!
I would like to learn smarter ways to save money while traveling! (Or before traveling)
I would like to share my experiences traveling with people. Mainly, it doesn't matter who you are or where you're from - humans are still the same at heart. All of us want to keep living happily.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Japanese/American/Taiwanese culture and experiences, cooking and recipes, and whatever local craft beer and street food I decide to bring home!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
