I'm trying to fill my life's book with amazing stories, beautiful images, and wonderful people; please contribute to this ongoing effort and I'll try and do the same!

ABOUT ME

I'm married to a beautiful girl from the islands, Ileen, and we have a rowdy four year old son, Isaiah, and a baby girl, Isabelle.

Love music and play/sing in a local rock band.

I love to travel and meet new people, explore, and try new things.

Love to cook and love good food.

I'm low maintenance and so is Ileen.

We both can catch, kill, clean, and cook our own food if need be :-)

Don't require utensils to eat.

Don't need much to be happy.

Don't mind crowds or small quarters; Don't mind being alone or open spaces either.

I have an entrepreneurial spirit; I've started several businesses here on Yap - not all successful :-) including a coffee shop, an electronics store, a small importing business, and lately I'm making and bottling a brand of local hot sauce; to name a few.

I served for 2 years as a Peace Corps volunteer (2004-2006)in the outer islands of Yap (Ulithi Atoll) and now I currently live on Yap proper and I am a contracted employee with the Yap government doing IT work. I also teach a high school computer course.

If you're planning to visit Yap, let us know. It's a very small island and we should prove helpful to you during your stay.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We're looking for a bigger place so we can host people again, so currently, I can arrange for you to stay with a local family, or just answer questions for you if you're planning to visit. When you arrive, let us know so we can meet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have only hosted others and have had a very positive experience. I have not had the opportunity to couch-surf yet, but look forward to it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While SCUBA diving in one of Yap's main channels, I was lucky enough to have 17 amazing manta rays swim overhead in a chain.
