About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live my Life to the fullest, share with family, friends and citizens of the world
ABOUT ME
I am at a cross road in my life, changing from multiple obligations and responsibilities to a more relaxed and free lifestyle. I am an Optimist at heart and interested in all people and things around me. I have hosted visitors from around the world for decades and have traveled several continents. Meeting and experiencing people and their cultures has always fascinated me and tought me to appreciate the small things as well as life itself. Wine is a big part of my life. Interested? Just aske me how and why. After living in major cities I have settled in a rural area, love the world around me, especially the view from my kitchen. I enjoy to cook, bake, eat, drink, socialize, ask questions, spend time with my family and interesting people. I manage my own gardening (badly)and envision myself sharing my life travelling near and far.
I have been married to my husband for 36 years and I am proud of our relationship. We have 2 children and 2 grandchilden. Living at a medium sized, clean Lake is important and allows us to do boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming, walking and hiking. Healthy living has a new meaning and priority in our lives (it needs improvement) and we strive to excel in wellness and happyness in the future.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. do the right thing anyway. practice tolerance, forgiveness and love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Like my marriage, travel has been a constant and huge part of my life. Moving 4 times across the Atlantic Ocean, living in 5 different states, having a husband involved in international business and volunteering with various Sister Cities organizations has given me the opportunity to meet, host, stay and visit with people from around the world. I appreciate the exchange of ideas and cultures, spending time with young and mature citizens of the world and want to continue to do so.
Surprises, changes and adjustments are welcome and have been the spice in my live, therefore, I embrace the lifestyle of travellers and welcome any surfers to my home.

Teach, Learn, Share
Life is a great teacher, I have studied the societies and people I have lived with as well as the subject of wine throughout my life, worked to receive credentials for both and like to use and share what I have learned. One cannot deny change and must embrace it. Love and health are the most important things in life and I appreciate the love and good genes I have received. I like to share love and teach that as humans in a basic sense, we are so much alike, doesn't matter where we come from. Travel educates. (quote my mother: "Reisen bildet")
