Overview
About Me
My name is Grace! I'm a friendly, happy-go-lucky girl from Montana who's always up for more adventure! I've got a thirst for soaking up everything this big, beautiful world has to offer, and hopefully I can do so while making real connections with some of its awesome people.
I LOVE cats (I have one: a little sweetheart named Simba) and all other animals, so don't worry about your fuzzy little friends bothering me!
Also, when I do travel (my first international trip is coming up later this year!!), I'm mostly looking to experience the people, the place, and the culture--to explore the area and get out in beautiful nature. In other words, I'm not interested in being part of a crazy nightlife or party scene!
I believe in being a respectful, responsible and friendly guest; hopefully the same etiquette will be returned!
Hopefully we have plenty of laughs, share an awesome experience, and even become real friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing is great for saving money, but I also don't think travel is complete without connecting with locals and meeting some of the wonderful people out there in the world. It makes the experience so much more unique and cherish-able than staying in a hotel (although I have no problems with a cheap hostel!). Provided I feel safe with you (I'm pretty picky about my safety) and that you are trustworthy and respectful, I'm a very flexible person as far as arrangements go.
Interests
I'm currently a non-traditional student at the University of Montana with a double major in Psychology and Art. So obviously I'm a huge psychology nerd! But I try to stay well-rounded, so my interests include everything from fitness and health to fashion, to reading, to exploring nature, to singing and creating art... Studying. Cooking. Blogging. Trying new foods and places and experiences... Just being around people! (Oh, and I can never have enough coffee.)
I'm on Pinterest an awful lot! Ha! I love being adventurous in the outdoors. Trying new things. Photography. (Most of my paintings come from pictures I took!) Philosophy.
Laughing... Lots of laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music except country!
Books: Lord of the Flies, 1984, Invisible Man, A Brave New World, Hamlet (Shakespeare in general)
Hannibal, The Silence of the Lambs... Les Miserables (I played Fantine in our high school musical!) The Princess Bride, Into the Wild, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty... Most Disney movies (haha). Breaking Bad. Really the list could just keep going on!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How do I pick just one! Performing in the Benaroya Hall in Seattle in front of thousands was pretty cool...!
Teach, Learn, Share
I will of course be asking for all the tourist hot spots around: where to hike, or maybe where to eat on the cheap or the best local place to have coffee! Im not expecting a tour guide, but some pointers or help will likely be necessary! Hopefully we can teach each other about our own country or culture and experiences. Definitely share a lot of laughs and maybe a good native meal or several!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not rich by any means, but I'll always make it a point to share my gratitude: to not only be a responsible and respectful guest, but also go above and beyond! Perhaps I can help with chores, perhaps we can split a meal or a few. Perhaps I can cook for you... Perhaps I can paint one of the landscape pictures I will have taken in your country and send it back to you with my thanks!
And if all goes well, perhaps I can return the favor for you when you're in my country.
