About Me
ABOUT ME
I am an easy going person, I am a musician, and music educator. When I am home in Michigan I work as a substitute teacher and am starting my own small business making oboe reeds. I graduated from college with a degree in instrumental music education in spring of 2011 and have been either traveling, or working as a research assistant on the Cape Lookout National Seashore, when I'm not in michigan substitute teaching and making oboe reeds. I am currently traveling around the US on a 30 day train trip, using the 30 day Amtrak rail pass.
Interests
a few of my interests include playing music (I play the oboe), learning new musical instruments, reading, hiking, and traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've worked for two amazing summers as a research technician on a small barrier island off the coast of North Carolina. I travelled to Kenya and spent several weeks in a research camp in the Masaai Mara. I have gotten to perform on my oboe in Carnegie Hall, with the National Collegiate Wind Ensemble and spent several weeks playing oboe with the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada.
