About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Couch surfing in the USA, preferrably Arizona and Colorado, this summer of 2014.

ABOUT ME

Hey I'm Grace and I just recently turned 18. I'm now at the age in which I can legally leave and go wherever the hell I want! My passions in life include singing, song writing, loving, helping, learning, creating, giving, and exploring. I plan on majoring in song writing at Belmont next fall but want to explore the world over the summer of 2014...probably some where in the US because of limited budget. I am an easy going person, and love meeting new people. I want to see more of the world to not only explore, but to learn more about myself and what I'm called to do in this life.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything happens for a reason and that this world is meant to be explored. It's scary to think that in a typical day, we only move a few miles to get to and from work or to and from school. There is so much more of the world that I would love to explore. I have a passion for learning and exploring and finding myself. I believe that not exploring the world is like an insult to God. He created this beautiful world, why not explore it? Every place holds new people, new experiences, new knowledge. I may be ambitious, but I want to know and feel it all. Additionally, I think love is the best thing on this earth. Also, I believe in God, and am a Sunday School teacher for 5 year olds where I live right now. I think trying to live your faith is more important than saying "Oh yeah, I believe in every detail of Catholicism" or something like that. Overall, I'm still forming views, but I know that exploration is key, love is a gift, God is everything, and music is amazing. I live my life to help people, love people around me, meet people, learn things, learn about the mystery of God, and much more. Sorry that was so lengthy!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, but reggae, folk, indie, alternative pop, country, and blues especially. Also, foreign music is intriguing because it tells a lot about a culture. I plan on majoring in music (probably song writing) in college. I enjoy movies, especially the ones that make me ponder life and feel things. Into the Wild was a great movie. Right now, I am reading a book by Leo Buscalgia called "Living, Learning, Loving" and it has inspired me to be a better person, and teacher. I love inspirational books, movies, songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sedona in Arizona is amazing. I hiked through there with my family and saw a lady with a cello on her back hiking through there and living off of the tips that she makes playing music. That sparked a whole bunch of ideas in my little mind, and since then I have wanted to explore.

Teach, Learn, Share

I write music and try to share my outlook on life through that. Check out my website, www.gracegonzalezmusic.com . I just think love is super important. Also, I think taking risks is how you grow. I get all my ideas from great thinkers, and just elaborate and ponder them. I think lots of people of the past had great ideas. I strongly believe that money does not have much value at all and that it leads people to misery. I would prefer a life with just the bare necessities than one with many luxuries. God is good, life is great, love is amazing.
